Pumpkin has many benefits like it is high in potassium, vitamin C and fiber. The best part of a pumpkin pie smoothie is that you’re pairing an already great ingredient with other amazingly good-for-you ingredients for a delicious and indulgent snack!
Pumpkin Pie Smoothie Ingredients
Banana. Frozen banana adds a creamy texture, some natural sweetness, and a great undertone flavor to this pumpkin pie smoothie. No worries! Pumpkin is definitely still the star of the show here! If you never have frozen banana on hand, then just add some ice to give it that cold, creamy texture.
Yogurt. I prefer plain, full fat (whole milk) greek yogurt for the added protein and healthy fats. However, any plain or vanilla yogurt or dairy free yogurt will work.
Milk. I use full fat or 2% milk, but any dairy free milk will work as well. Almond milk is a great alternative.
Pumpkin Puree. I typically have some homemade pumpkin puree stored away in my freezer that I can pull out and use, but canned pumpkin puree works just fine
Pumpkin Pie Spice. I batch homemade pumpkin pie spice blend to have enough to last me all season! But if you do not have any on hand, cinnamon is a perfect replacement!
Maple Syrup. Honey or agave nectar would also work as natural sweeteners
Nut Butter. This is optional but adds a nutty flavor and really ups the protein! Almond butter or pecan butter would work best.
