Method
- Fill your pot with water
- Add 3 cinnamon sticks (if you have powder, add 3 tsp of cinnamon to a tea bag)
- Place on medium-high heat, once it begins to boil reduce to medium-low
- Let simmer for 10-15 min
- Remove from heat and let it rest and cool slightly (5-10 min)
- Add honey to taste and enjoy!
Notes
Use ceylon cinnamon instead of cassia whenever possible to reduce the risk of side effects.
For added benefits from other sources, I like to enhance my tea with different add ons. These can be added at the very beginning into your pot, but are all optional though.
