Homemade Honey Butter Recipe

A great homemade honey butter recipe does not need to have anything other than honey and butter! Spread on pretty much anything and enjoy!

Ingredients
  

  • 1/2 cup Butter Salted or unsalted
  • 1/4 cup Honey

Method
 

  1. Bring the butter to room temperature. I typically take it out of the fridge about an hour before I intend to make the recipe.
  2. When butter is soft, add honey.
  3. Mix with a spoon until well combined.
  4. Store in an airtight jar in the refrigerator for up to 4 weeks.

Notes

    • If using unsalted butter, I recommend adding 1/4 tsp of sea salt.
    • High quality, local honey is best!
    • Butter and honey will separate over time in the refrigerator, simply mix together again to restore it.
    • If you are storing whipped honey butter, be sure to bring it back to room temperature and re-whip before serving.
