Homemade Honey Butter Ingredients
- Butter– this can be salted or unsalted
- Honey– some good quality honey is best, but any honey will do!
It truly is as simple as this! The homemade cinnamon honey butter recipe below will have a couple of extra ingredients, but butter and honey is all you need for this super easy homemade honey butter!
How to make homemade honey butter
The reason I truly believe this to be the best honey butter recipe is for its simplicity!
- Bring the butter to room temperature. I typically take it out of the fridge about an hour before I intend to make the recipe.
- When butter is soft, add honey.
- Mix with a spoon until well combined.
- Store in an airtight jar in the refrigerator for up to 4 weeks.
Tips for the best honey butter recipe
- If using unsalted butter, I recommend adding 1/4 tsp of sea salt.
- High quality, local honey is best!
- Butter and honey will separate over time in the refrigerator, simply mix together again to restore it.
- If you are storing whipped honey butter, be sure to bring it back to room temperature and re-whip before serving.
